Here's one to get your comments flowing! We want to know where you want to play and why you think you should be there. On last mental count we had about six strikers and seven attacking midfielders, so not everyone is going to get to go where they feel most comfortable, although scoring goals shouldn't be an issue. How about an indication of where you think you're best suited, where you think you could fit in and where you definitely never want to play. It might help as we try to work out how to form our defensive, midfield and attacking units this season.
We'd love to hear any tactical opinions too, such as whether we should adopt a 4-4-2 this season instead of the sweeper system we worked with last year.
PS: Be sure to make yourself known by choosing a nickname we can understand. Also do we have any left footers?

Happy to play where the captain/coach want me, as long as it's not keeper, fullback, defensive midfielder or striker.
Should we be worried about the off-field behaviour of the rookies? I propose a leadership group consisting John, Shane, Phil, Dean and Gary J.
Though Anthony has already (cleverly) ensconsed himself as finesmaster.
Happy either striker or centre defender - either way I might get one in the net!
I think we have some great opportunities late in games to run our L or R defenders on overlaps. If the show ponies up front can draw the defence one way on a goal kick then it opens up out wide for someone like Dave or Graham D to run an overlap. Centre midfield should drop in cover and striker should head for far post.
Im also happy to play anywhere. Would prefer midfield or striker though.
As a rookie I dont really have any input to tactics/formations.
Midfield with a preference for the left hand side.Of course I am happy to play anywhere but goalie, but my lack of pace makes the backs risky!!!!I am happy to be part of a social organizing group
coming off a hat-trick on monday night ($2 for big noting - and happy to pay) i'm happy with up forward or on the bench where no doubt i will be spending a fair bit of time; as i'm out round 1 being the rookie and all, i guess i'll have to wait for my chance.
Only idea on tactics comes from colours on sundays and also jim allen all stars on mondays . . . goalkeeper to kick it long and hope forwards can do some magic! ($2 for giving LMHAS our Monday night team tactics) Not much else from me sorry
Nice one FM... Love the sneaky way you tried to hide our sweet passing slow burn Arsenal-esque total football in a bid to trick LMHAS into believing we're the new Wimbledon. They'll never fall for it...
I'm happy to stay in defence throughout the season, suggest Graham D, Dean, myself with another 3 who are willing to help at the back. Strongly suggest the back unit aren't used in any other position during the season. The best attack starts at the back.
best position: running the water.
preferred position: anywhere on the park apart from the guy that wears the gloves....happy with my role last year...
Prefer playing up front
Happy to fill in as 'keeper on occasion.
Have played sweeper a fair amount over the years, happy to fill in their too.
Not fit enough (yet)to play midfield!
3 days without a smoke tho...
4-4-2 is fine, but one of the CB's has to play a little deeper than the other. Helps if we can push up as much as is humanly possible.
Just happy to play. More of a flat back four with attacking overlapping wing backs with a double centre forward in the middle creating space out wide for crosses.(this is the Arsenal website is'nt it.)
