Ah, the calm! With everything settled down again after a feisty week it's time to look ahead at our clash with the Pumas on Saturday. As I hope to be along to run the subs, and make sure you do your bloody warmups properly I thought I'd throw in a bit of a game plan for your reading pleasure.
Considering the number of missing personnel this week and the decent standing of our opponents and I think we should approach the game with a cautious mindset and be happy with a draw or better. My feeling is we should be working desperately to keep them out in the first half and then looking to expand a bit if they tire as the game goes on.
I would be looking to set you up as a 4-5-1 line up this week, with Mark Smith and the two Graemes looking to choke up the centre of midfield.
So, four acroos the back with Gary Jordan, Dean and Gary Hardie playing the central roles between them with Michael, GH and Phil working the outside roles.
In midfield GD working his arse off in front of the back four with MS and GP in there with him, getting stuck into the dirty work and Ian, Kev or Ant working the flanks. Sean, struggling with an injury, can be your hold the ball up man up front, as can Ant or Kev on occasion. Let's go in for a fight.
