Given our stuttered start to the season, we are indeed fortunate that after five rounds, we have played three games. Taking into account the first round bye and a washout the team is struggling to attain a measure of match fitness. Despite our slow start to the season it’s surprising to note that we are at the top of the competition table.
The way that we’re starting each week and recovering afterwards is evidence enough that our pre-match ritual is paying dividends.
The game against the Makos was pleasing from an effort perspective but it did highlight one area of concern. Ball control. Yours truly can lay claim to at least four awful passes and at least that many bad decisions.
On a positive note it was good to see the ball in our oppositions net on three occasions. Well done to Tony and Sean. At the back our defense stood solid and its welcoming to have our Goalie Pete displaying such solid early season form. (Goal Keepers, who needs 'em? indeed).
Management look forward to seeing you all at training on Wednesday, weather permitting, and encourage everyone to look to your individual fitness levels at other times of the week. I mean you ‘Cripple’. Given that it was warm on Saturday we all have excuses for our lack of physical prowess but nobody blew harder and contributed as little as that insignificant little mouth piece.
Everyone should be looking forward to the Cows next Saturday as well as the cooler weather the coming weeks will bring. The cripple hopes the selectors keep him in the side long enough to feel the chillier winter months.

Mmmmm....Albion Park this week. I don't normally hold grudges but I got 9 stiches from their striker's elbow last year. Bring it on.
